Alyssa graduated from Canisius College in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in Animal Behavior, Ecology, and Conservation, and uses her education to help make grooming a positive experience for all dogs. She has been grooming since 2016 and was a salon manager for two years before joining the Laundromutt team in 2020. Alyssa lives in Buffalo with her 16-year-old Chow mix, Princeton. She has a soft spot for grooming double coated breeds and senior pups in need of a little extra TLC! Alyssa is passionate about wildlife conservation, and in her spare time she enjoys visiting national parks around the world. She has traveled to Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa to hike the trails and document as many animal species as she can. When she isn't traveling or grooming dogs, she can usually be found crocheting and taking care of her menagerie of house plants. She is also an avid reader and loves to relax with a Tolkien book and a cup of tea, and she can’t wait to have her own in-home library one day.
